the most wonderful and beautiful banners and buttons on this blog:Playing With Graphics. She re-vamped my blog and my Etsy shop to reflect a new, fresher me. Spring goes into summer and with that comes renewal, rebirth and transformation. I did NOT think I was a lavender/purple person; seems I can do it : ) I cook every day. I love to cook for all 3 meals.
This range free chicken breasts baked with freshly squeezed lemon juice,  Himalayan pink salt, oregano, thyme, garlic cloves, cumin, thinly sliced baby onions and 1 organic sliced carrot.
 Another view
This a view of thinly sliced zucchini, onions, turmeric (good for inflammation; particularly arthritis) which I use in most dishes. Love the color and the flavor!!! This was incorporated into 2 soft scrambled eggs for breakfast.
 Another view
Take a look at this organic Valencia orange baked chicken:
This dish was started being sauted in the skillet with extra virgin 1st cold pressed olive oil from Spain. It is a favorite.
These 2 photos are after it was taken out of the oven and put in the refrigerator to be eaten today : )
My dishes consist of black, white and black/white checks and black/white polka dots and some florals.
I hope you have enjoyed what I created.
Spices are wonderful; garlic, Cumin, Turmeric, oregano (Italian and Mexican), Sal Del Mar smoked sea salt Matiz Mediterraneo (from Spain), very rarely is white table salt or black pepper used.
I use lots of fresh, very finely chopped Jalapeno peppers.
It is so delicious and very healthful for you.
I love Lavender but do not have any right now : (
What are your favorite spices?
Do you bake? Can? Make jams?
Do you listen to music or whistle while you are in the kitchen?
Have any lavender food recipes you would like to share?
The other thing I do every day is drink a couple of cups Ginger root tea because it is another natural inflammation fighter and I require all the assistance I can get. I boil water in my tea pot (love to hear the whistle), cut a piece of the Ginger root, dice it into little pieces, pour the boiling water on them and let it steep. I never use sugar or  amber Agave nectar (from a cactus plant) in my teas or coffee. Have wonderfully aromatic, savory or sweet, day!!!
peace

  3. I love to cook but I also like to taste other peoples creations and I'd love to taste the ones you made.

There's a store down the street from us called The Spanish Table, reading your recipes made me think of the store with all their spices and wonderful Spanish wines.

  4. Hi Carole,
Wow, those meals look wonderful. They are making me hungry right now! I made a pesto orzo with heirloom tomatoes and toasted pine nuts for father's day today. I accompanied that with a salad (red leaf, red bell pepper, zucchini, garbanzo beans, green onion, black olives, tomatoes, artichoke hearts) and a load of garlic cheese sourdough bread. For dessert, Tina made a vanilla cake and I made a topping of fresh raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries with freshly whipped cream. Oh yum. I just love cooking with all the things I bring home from the farmer's market. I wish I had more time to cook though. I like to use spices too. I prefer to buy them in small amounts from the bulk aisle and refill as needed.

Tina says to tell you she really likes your lavender design here on your blog. She was ohing and awing about it before she even knew it was yours. I love the little birdies with the crowns. It's great to change around especially around spring and summer.

I hope you have a fabulous week and feel healthy every day!
    Love,
Sharon, Miss Gracie, Tina and Nipper too

  5. Carole, you must be feeling great now because that chicken looks like it took a lot of work and standing up. I hope that I recouperate as fast as you did. Will check out Etsy to look because I am saving my money for my craft storage closet and clothes closet. Haven't been crafting except for all the things I made for Cancer Aid. The back pain has finally gotten to surgical stage, so I see the doctor today and hope that he will give me some good news for a change. Love and hugs, Pat
ps Miss M is really growing fast and she is so beautiful.

  7. Good Morning, Carole.

I am sitting here sipping a cup of french pressed java and reading through more of your beautiful blog. These meals look delicious. I take turmeric with every meal as well as use it in my cooking. I have a wonderful spicy chili recipe (made with ground turkey, kidney beans and served over brown rice) as well as a salmon recipe. Let me know if you are interested and I will be happy to forward them.

  9. Chesapeake Energy (CHK) continues to show strength, rising $1.04 (5.89%) to close at $18.71/share. Volume was once again respectable hermes outlet at 25.5 million shares, and it continues to provide far more liquidity for big traders than other names where volume fendi outlet levels have pulled back a good bit. We are warming up to this one as we have stated recently, but will wait for a pullback to make our move. Whether it is via an option trade or equity we do not know, but we are interested in getting exposure here as it appears that the worst is now over. The company may get a boost in the months ahead as smaller players in plays such as the Utica begin to monetize their assets and may provide investors with higher valuations than what Chesapeake got from their initial prada handbags sales. This is just something to keep in mind when trying to evaluate and value this play.
